The Analytic Encounter
Many people come to therapy because they are suffering.
Others arrive because something essential feels missing despite success, achievement, or outward stability.
Through Jungian analysis, dream work, sandplay therapy, and depth-oriented psychotherapy, I help individuals explore the unconscious patterns shaping their lives and move toward greater wholeness, meaning, and authenticity.
What Is Jungian Analysis?
Jungian analysis is a depth-oriented form of psychotherapy rooted in the work of Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung. While many forms of therapy focus primarily on symptom reduction, Jungian analysis also explores the unconscious dimensions of experience through dreams, symbols, imagination, creativity, and recurring life patterns.
The goal of analysis is not simply to eliminate suffering, but to understand what psychological difficulties may be asking of us. Anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts, creative blocks, and periods of uncertainty often carry meanings that can lead to profound personal growth when approached with curiosity and reflection.
Jungian analysis is particularly meaningful for individuals interested in self-discovery, creativity, spirituality, life transitions, and the ongoing process of becoming more fully themselves.
Jungian Sandplay Therapy
Sandplay therapy offers a unique way of engaging the psyche beyond words. Using a tray of sand and a carefully curated collection of symbolic figures, individuals create scenes that express aspects of their inner world that may be difficult to articulate through conversation alone.
Developed within the Jungian tradition, sandplay provides a protected space where unconscious material can emerge naturally through image and symbol. The process can be particularly helpful when working with trauma, grief, life transitions, creativity, and experiences that exist beyond ordinary language.
I work with children, adolescents, and adults using sandplay therapy as both a stand-alone method and as part of Jungian analysis and depth psychotherapy.
About Brian
I am a Certified Jungian Analyst and psychotherapist with more than twenty years of clinical experience. My work integrates Jungian analysis, dream work, sandplay therapy, and depth psychotherapy to help people better understand themselves, navigate life's challenges, and cultivate a more authentic relationship with who they are.
I strive to create a space where people feel genuinely seen, understood, and accepted while also being invited to explore deeper patterns that may be shaping their lives.
Meaningful change begins when we feel understood and become curious about what our lives may be asking of us.
